What oil to put in a vacuum pump?

I think its a Cardon Remann. He bought it and I asked him about oil in it and he had no clue. I put Redline 90wt in mine

Anything will probably work.
Mine was a Cardone. Barely had any room for more oil.

why would you put oil in it? bearings are sealed units. oil in the pump will only deteriorate the diaghram, possibly void your warranty if they inspected after failure. if you wanted to lube it maybe some silicone spray?

Read up on these.
They already have oil in them, just not enough. And sometimes none at all.

not sure what kind mine was from Napa but its been in there 3yrs without any problems . any VPs I've taken apart had sealed bearings in them and that was usually what came apart.

Cardone pumps have problems?

It works like a cam and lifter. It has a metal eccentric that pushes up on a lifter like thing. Without oil it would grind up quickly
