I used to regularly pressure wash my old gas powered ride, should I power-wash my diesel engine or not?

on these motors, it's a really bad idea
if you insist on doing so, at all costs do not direct any water in the intake and injection pump valley area. your crankcase will fill up with water.

Wow, thanks for the info! I was gettin ready to run to the car wash!

What about soaking her with simple green for a few minutes then just rinsing her off with low pressure water? The dirt and grime are driving me nuts.......

That is ok. You don't blast the electrical connectors. Once they get soaked you will be pulling your hair out trying to get it running. Another part to watch is the power steering pump. Put a bag over the cap.
