My 89 f250 that I just installed the engine from my sig truck has a weird WTS issue. The GP relay comes on and stays for 8-10 secs and then off as normal and as it did in the old truck. But no WTS light. I pulled the dash thinking bulb, but when I applied 12v and ground to the light cluster it came right on. So back to the controller harness I go. Put test light on purple wire and key on NOTHING. Connect DVM and see 5.4v while the relay is on? What is the voltage supposed to be on the WTS circuit?

5 v might trigger the relay (I think it is 12v), but you should see 12v at the lights. The WTS might not come on after the truck has warmed up. My 93 didn't, but that is a different animal.

Yeah it would not come on in the old truck when really warm. I just checked it again and showed 1.4v. Maybe my GP controller is on the way out? It still controls the gp's correctly though.
