I kinda figured thats what it is. I was going to ask if this spring looking thing in the picture was what you wanted to know about or the can item just to the top of the pic. BTW why is the voltage regulater positioned so far back by the heater motor
It may have been moved so the resister could be installed... Just make darn sure the regulater has a ground to it or it wont work too well. The customarry location has a ground black wire on one of the mounting screws. At least my 89 had that... Until I changed the v belts to serpentine belts and used the differant alternater. I bought an upgraded 200 amp alternater with black powder coating on it.... Looks purdy....
