Typ4 injector question.

Would have sent a PM but I know Russ can get busy or disappear for work from time to time. I got a set of injectors from him a while ago and I need to know what pressure they are set to pop at. I didn't ask for anything special, so whatever he normally sets them for would be helpful.

I'm betting if they are new Delphis they are set at 1850 lbs....

They were new Delphi's, thanks. My brother in law is going to pressure test them for me, I think I got a leaker.

What gary said, 18 to 1900, within 100 lbs, if they have many miles they will be almost 200 low. am doing a couple sets now that are new and have a couple leakers, qc is really bad and there is no recourse with delphi.
And I shouldnt tell this but I am layed off and busier than ever. Also trying tro heal my back that is the most important right now.

What causes you to feel you have a leaker... Any dirt that accidently gets in during the installation can cause a stuck or leaking injector. Many times you can fix it by taking them apart and washing out the dirt. There is way less than 1 thousands clearance between the pintle and the nozzle body. I was told once that even a finger print would cause them to stick...

I have about 7k miles on the injectors, the motor has had a knock since I installed them. I was and still am pretty new to IDI's and thought it was just due to the timing difference of new injectors and having things adjusted differently. I thought it was normal at the time. If I were a betting man, I would put money on me getting something dirty during the install.
