Transmission or Torque converter?

I just bought a 2002 2wd F250 7.3 with 190,000. It has a problem with either the tranny or the converter. I believe its the converter but tell me what you guys think. This is what's happening, when you put it into any gear it doesnt do any thing at all and there is no noise. I checked the gear selector cable and it does move. ANY IDEAS???

How dose the fluid look? Burnt it could be a few things internal.It could be a broken input shaft. Drop the pan, check the filter. Sometime they fall out. At 190k best thing to do is rebuild it.

Also check the condition of the Throttle Position Sensor. We ran into that broblem on dad's 1990 F350 (7.3, E4OD). the tps went bad and it wouldn't move unless you put four foot on the throttle, then it would catch and you were off.
