Well, I am trying to see who on here tows with a max of 21k and normally at 16k with a 4k pin weight. I want to see if a 3/4 ton can handle this on a 3 to 4 times a month basis with an average trip length of 400 miles. There are minor grades here in AR but nothing too bad.
I currently have an F550 and it handles it fine but I have to use the truck as a daily driver also and I'm trying to get out of a weight class tag. I also would like to get an auto.

4K pin on single tires? I probably won't suggest it. Tires aren't rated for that kind of weight, so likely they won't survive.

4k pin on singles is a really bad idea.
there's a reason for the f450/550 chassis and the loads you're talking about is the reason why.
10k is acceptable on a single, 14k is acceptable on a F350.
not saying you can't do it. but DOT and the accident investigator will have issues with you.

IF you had a blowout things would get ugly....... And like mentioned above, DOT could/would have a field day with you.......and they aren't folks you want to mess with.....
