Torque converter install?!!!?

I thought the same thing, but after talking to the trans guy I think it's ok. However I still can't get the converter to seat in the pump.

Is it possible that you have the wrong Converter? It should just slide in without any messing around.

I've measured everything it's right according to the specs.

I have the original 4r100 transmission that was bolted to my 5.4 that came out. I'm going to pull the torque converter out of that and try it in my PSD tranny. If it works then it's definitely wrong. Other possibility is the pump is jacked up I'm going to slide the new torque converter and do the 5.4 pump and see if it works that way if it does the pump is junk.

Faulty Torque converter hub. It was out of round. Had a tranny guy i know look into the pump. New converter and all is good. Just waiting on carpal tunnel surgeries to heal so i can get back to working on it
