I put my new injectors and newer IP on last night (Thanks again to both Davids) but had a couple questions about timing it...

First, if i unplug the cold timing advance wire can i time it cold?

Second, i know the range for pulse method is 8-9.5° BTDC, but what is the perfect setting for power and lower EGTs? Since i run WMO 90% of the time should i lean more towards the advanced side? 9.5-10°?

Yes to both questions. Removing the cold advance wire on top of the injection pump is what I do on a cold engine timing. Works great. I also would run 9 degrees advance at least. Maybe 9.5 is a little better for what you are doing for fuel. The poor quality fuels we have to use these days are nowhere near what we were able to pump at a fuel station some years back... Thats a sad thing..
