Just picked up a pulse timing unit. I don't have timing tape, so I was going to measure out on the balancer degrees. I think I read somewhere 1 degree is a sixteenth of an inch. I have to use the timing light obviously. This for my 6.9. Thanks

I'm a *******. Forgot I have a adjustable advance timing light. Just checked it and wanted to see where I was at currently, and the balancer lines up with the mark at 11degrees on the timing light at 1400 rpm. I tried going backwards past 90 to see if I got any reading and I didn't see the marking. So to check my head, it should be 2-3 degrees on my light? I went thru the search and I couldn't find what I needed. thanks in advance. I can figure just about anything out on these trucks, but the timing always confuses me.
