I might be remembering wrong, but my buddies turbo 4 would leave my dads V6 in the dust.

But man my dads was fancy. Black and silver 2-tone with red pinstripe. Gray interior, all electric. Dash completely digital. Pink Floyd “the division bell” cassette on repeat. Dad holding a whiskey soda on his left knee for the hour drive to grandmas. That must have happened at least 500 times during my childhood.

My 88 turbo coupe was REALLY sporty and had 46K original miles on it, alas it cought on fire and burned to the ground.....

My then girl friend, now wife had a 84 3.8 V6 t-bird when we got together, 26yrs ago. My dad thought it was great that my girlfriend had a t-bird, it was his favorite year with the thin tail light lenses and the bird was on the taillight.

It's funny to think of all the t-birds and cougars that have come and gone through our hands. Surprisingly, no Mark VIIs though.

Dad says he remembers (fuzzy) it was a 1986 3.8 V6 and was a Landau Model/package.

Salesman told him it was rare to be two-tone……but…..salesmen

I do know it pulled our pop up camper to Knoxville IA with relative ease for the World of Outlaws.
