I can't get the third eye off the back of the cab on my '94 to replace the break light bulb. Any tricks? I figured it would just pull off or the lense come out of the housing but no luck on either. I don't want to break anything. The cargo light bulbs are fine. I've tried pulling up, down and gently prying.

Once the two screws are removed, it should pulll straight out, but maybe the gasket is glued (stuck) Also, I know on my 97 that it is a tight fit to pull out, there is a metal plate on top of the housing (reflector for the bulb I think) that can break loose. Maybe yours is jammed. I think, if worse comes to worst, you can drop the headliner and see the back side.....I think.

The gasket is attached to the housing I believe. Does the black plastic piece have tabs that fit snug in the opening in the cab? Maybe I just need to use more force pulling the light out. There's a wrecking yard with lots of Ford parts about 15-20 minutes away if I end up breaking anything.
