Thinking about a TDI

Been many moons since my last post. Took at new job in December and have had zero time to do anything except work (that's another posting).

So my GF wants to look at TDI Jetta Wagons. I like them, I just don't like the $29,900 price tag

I have looked at some 2011 with low mileage, but they seem to be $25-26K, which is still pretty high for a year/year and a half old car.

Are these just overpriced here in the NorthWest, or is the demand that high for these things everywhere?

Just looking for some input, not under any time constraints but she's getting sick of working out of her four door civic

That's the going rate for them down here too, so I would assume it's the same across the country.

I like them a lot! Never driven one but I think they look great.

TDI is (was) the most powerfull engine ever built when measuring power per inch. They run just like a gasser with the powerband, and get 40ish MPGs.
