Started pulling things off this morning to do the EGR Delete Coolant Filter.

Noticed that the Thermo was missing. O-Ring is still in the grove, but the Thermo was gone. Wonder what they might have been trying to hide? Or did the y just forget to put it back in??

ECT temps on the Delta test drive was right around 200*

Any thoughts if I should be conceded about any thing else hiding under the hood.

Thanks.
PS. the coolant at drain was Orangish/Green more Green. Looked kinda fresh.

Scared for what you will find... Green doesn't play well with orange coolant. Should have had gold if factory, of red if a concerned previous owner had made the switch.

its probably the gold mixed with the green witch isnt ideal, but it doesnt create the sludge mud BS that mixing green and the red coolant does. Thermo pulled and truck runs at 200*s? I would finish the EGR delete, then install a thermostat, then verify the truck doesnt overheat. It should be ok but thats a bit hot for not having a thermostat.
