So it looks like a got a slow axle seal leak. I want top

off the rear diff until I can fix this. I usually run royal purple but if it's going to leak can I use this stuff I had laying around the garage and be ok?

Does it have friction modifiers for your LS diff?

Walmart sells 1 gallon of convential gear oil for about $15 in both 80w90 and 85w145 if you want something cheap but not potentally contaminated (dunno if your old jug is open?)

80w90 itself instead of 80w145 will work but it'll be thinner, not so good for high weather temperatures and heavy loads.

Oh, the gallon of 85w140 actually says it's recommended for LS diffs... so I guess it has the FMs in it?
