With my front tank being out Can I still run my truck off the rear tank? Do I have to plug off the lines or anything?

you don't want dirt in the fuel lines. plug then for that reason.

If your selector valve is good you can operate with the fuel lines removed from the pickup/sender of the inoperative tank. I have been doing this for 3 months. I did cover the supply and return line ends with baggies and tape to keep things clean.
