This is on my moms '01. While I was checking it over last year I noticed the tach would not pass 2k. She took it in and had the dealer look at it and they said the tach needed to be recalibrated. The last time it did this the LP was bad. It has not gotten any worse over the year and on a reacent trip to N.M. on New Years weekend, anybody remember the storm that weekend? It ran fine other than it will not exceed 2k rpm. It is an auto and will not go over 70 mph in 3rd. I do not know what the gear ratio is, but even with 4.10s shouldn't it go above that. My '91 IDI runs over 60 in 2nd with 3.55s. I had less than a 12 hours to get home from south of Raton pulling a trailer and really could have used more RPMs in 3rd.
