OK, brain fart............
I'd forgotten I sorta broke the t-case in the flood victim last year bajaing through the 30" overnight heavy snowfall.......
It won't hold 4H, holds 2H and 4L fine, put it in 4H and it pops into neutral after driving 10 feet....
I have a '91 302/AOD/1356 set with 100k on them from a F-150....
Both t-cases are slip yoke and both are manual shift.....
That T-case SHOULD swap over with absolutely nothing but a gasket, right?

Not repairing the one in the truck unless I have to, it has over 600K on it, the F-150 had 112k......

There shouldn't be ANYTHING on the replacement T-case that would keep me from doing this, right?

BW 1356 T-cases are all the same F-150,F-250 & F-350.The differences are yoke and shift type. You can put a F-150 t-case into a HD truck without issues, even swap over to electric shift if you prefer (most people prefer manual shift, including me for reliability) but an F-150 t-case is the same as used in the HD trucks.I've swapped in F-150 t-cases and once used an F-350 T-case in my chip truck that had the aux PTO but that used case ended up being a dud so it's got a regular back in it now.
