I should probably note that's a 3" OD to 4" ID adapter. That is, the 3" end will slip over a regular 3" pipe, the 4" end is made to fit into a muffler or something similar, but it can be either welded on or attached with a band clamp.

Alright some of you will but I don't mind.
I am on a budget & made a 5" to 3.5" adapter.

there we go, that's what i'm talking about!!! only diff is i would have probably filled all the seams with weld. i have a whole yard of junk laying around so i guess that's why i get to use my redneck talent. honestly though as long as the flow is from small to big that will work just as well as any high dollar reducer. only time it needs to be smoothe is if it is going from big to small, and why in the hell would you ever do that.
