Gary, 0403 is week 4 of 2003. End of January of 2003.

Well silly me... Thanks for pulling my head back into the lite. I was just adding up the months and should have been adding up the weeks... Old brain doing "funny things" these days...:D

I've had a couple trucks with the bed mangled just like yours. My '97 van is the exact same way, but since it's a van there is no changing the bed on that one... Just a big bucket of 'hundred dollar bills at a body shop to make it look normal again.

I've had blowouts on lighter trucks and never done so much damage as those load range "E" tires can do...

For me it's Dunlop tires that I swore to never again run... I had four tread separations on my '87 truck with Dunlop's, and three separations on the dunlops on my fifth wheel (only tire that didn't separate was the goodyear marathon, oddly enough !?)

I just bought a set of 4 Interco, Trxus M/T for the rear of my F450 dual. They are one impressive tire... very aggressive tread, 10 plys, and they each weigh 58 lbs. They are designed with off road use in mind so extra tough and extra stiff.

Cost was just a bit under $200 each for 235x85xR16. I'm impressed at how smooth they run on highway... and off road at the ranch they have excellent "dig in" traction.

The factory number is 337-334-3814 .... they might sell and ship to you direct.. or hook you up with a local dealer that handles them.
Mine came via UPS and shipping was $20 [believe it or not.. in todays market even]

These things are built like earth mover tires with good heavy sidewalls and tread. You might have a look at them..

I had the same thing happen to my truck, same wheel, too. The spare let loose later that day (long road trip). I have been using bfg ta ko and really like them. There were not the ones that blew, fyi.
