i spun it over today with a bar, it turned right over, nice and easy, and popped out one of the plastic plugs covering an exhaust port. i stuck the plug back in of course.

Can you find either this # (c/n 1805440C1) or this # (c/n 1807996C1). The first is the pre
'84 series and the last is the final one. Someone might know the significance of the one you
did find but those others relate to the two different 6.9 blocks. I was going to rebuild a 6.9
that I have but am considering yours.
Thanks Lorin

as far as i know this serial number on the top deck in the front of the engine is the number yo are looking for.. this is what i learned way back when when the subject first came up. as i recall the cutoff is around 17x,*** or so. someone will confirm this i'm sure.

69oiler, I believe the #s I am using are casting #s. I should know where but can't recall
as I write this. I'll look at my 7.3 now and get back to you.

Can't see where the #'s are on that either.
What would the shipping to my area (01467) be? I have a p/u so I would be able to fetch it
from the shipping company's depot.
Thanks

$161.25 as long as you have a fork lift or truck level loading dock at your end.

on edit...i called back and asked about their depot and the guy said it would be in the Boston area.

OK, that is the casting # and looks to be the later block. The head casting # is in the middle of the head under the valve covers and starts with 180. I'm checking of the company. This might work.

I know you've done this a few times already, but...what would be the cost of shipping to 90501? My motorhome's 6.9 is dead, and I'm looking for a replacement.
Thanks!
Paul
