Wanted to double check but went out across town to get some siding. I've read a lot here there everywhere and this sums up the colors decent : http://www.intellidog.com/dieselmann/idi2.htm
Idled for about 10 minutes when we got there, i started listening to this knock i have... its always worried me but i think its injector ticking? engine has unknown miles but i'd guess at least 140k miles with original injectors. return line and injector o-rings were bleedin diesel on 3 injectors as well, not in the spots i patched. Gonna make a trip to Russ he's only 30 miles away.
The driveway had a steep incline on 'er too, it is possible the engine took a sip of cdr collected oil but didn't feel rev spiking, and idling was clean so doesnt seem like that.
Anyway truck was idling nice 'n clean, get loaded and leave, I check my mirror and the exhaust is puking dark blue'ish I nearly sh** myself. all the gears. I think great somethings dead, this day/month can't get any worse so I limp it a short ways and keep an eye on all my gauges, mirrors, road, and right when i get ready to pull over it cleans up again like nothing happened
So was it air getting in, or does it just happen when idling, bad injectors peeing everywhere, what? I don't have a stethoscope would a screwdriver work to test for injector knock?
