Puralator Fuel Pump: Surging on WMO

So I'm hoping its just the cheap pump I used causing surging when running on WMO. I went for the first drive yesterday on WMO (it is actually clean oil from un openned containers I found in a barn that was just really old and I had no other use for, so there's nothing in it to clog the filter). The Puralator fuel pump is a Posi Flo, it rated at 4-7 psi and 32 GPH. Is this just to wimpy of a pump to feed an IDI running on WMO? Other than the surges it ran great on WMO.

yea you need alot more volume, 4-7psi is just right but you need somewhere round 70-90gph IMHO
