Psd fuel sending unit

Kinda need help with this fairly soon, will the psd sending unit work with the 89 style gauge? i got one from a 94, but noticed it has 4 wires, but 3 look likes grounds, not 100% but is there any way i can wire it in, and is the OHM the same?

If Im not mistaken over on ford-trucks forums there was someone who adapted the PSD sending unit to work with our IDI trucks. Maybe I can find it for ya.

David thats a good question , my 86 I can fill it up and drive around for two days and it says emty but to fill it up it only takes 3gallons. I would be willing to try if I had a PSD sender , with a flat bed and new tanks theyre easy to change . the question is ; is the resisance the same

I know it wont work for you, the reason im thinking of using it is im swapping dash and gauges, to the 89 styl and i think they have the same ohm as the psd, but i know for sure the 86 dont
