Here ya go!

Looks like they changed everything cookoo
The inlet size from the pick up to pump,
Even the pan baffles look like they are gonna be different due to the location of pick up.....gonna have to move the pick up tube stud on the main cap as well......got the torque for the mains?

i think the oil pan is gonna be different as well.i looked at the 97 pan today but im not sure.and of course i brought the tube home but forgot the oil pan

and according to my haynes manual the main bearing cap torrque is,first step:75FT-LBS,second step:90FT-LBS

actually you should be able to modify the pan.if anything you might have to cut away a little bit of the tray where the tube goes into the pan.

can ya get me a pic of the pan?

I need to visit the stealership and get the pick up tube seal ring...


Geeze..wunder if the '96 oil pump will work with the '97 cover LOL :D .....wouldn't surprise me at this point :rolleyes:

i can get a picture of the pan but it wont be till tomorrow night.im gonna save you a trip to the stealer as i have the seal ring for the tube.i have a whole timing cover seal kit with every seal for every different 7.3PSD

ok well the bad news is the pan is different as well.but the good news is,is that you can modify it to fit if you want.
