Yes, John/Jon, an adapter fitting screws into the end of the timing gear inlet, which then attaches oil hose with a wire spring-clamp. The reason for this is what you don't see in this pic: a long snorkel for intake air, which extends forward from the air filter to the upper rim of the cross-piece in front of the radiator. Since this duct runs dead-center (relative to engine), the oil intake is diverted to the side. Pretty cool, IMHO.
Thought this pic might be interesting to post, as these vans are kinda rare these days, and I knew where I had the pic stored.
Thx for your pics also. Mine is super simple, too, with no cruise or AC. Would hate to remove all that to get to almost anything!
Do miss the AC in the summer, though. At least it's a dry heat in NorCali!
