I think the engine is very low mile. There is zero lip at the top of each cylinder. When I got the parts truck I intended to use the engine. I swapped in a different injection pump to get it running, and it ran great around the house / test driving it on backroads here local. Then it had a coolant leak into the oil and I'm unsure where it originated. Fingers crossed it was the oil cooler. Several things I've noticed lead me to believe whoever installed this remanufactured engine, was not familiar with IDI's. For example the flywheel bolts did not have thread sealer and it obviously had a massive oil leak creating a mess inside the bellhousing. Also the plug in the valley pan again had no thread sealer. Truck originally built with 6.9, however the reman is a 7.3. They re-used all of the bolt-on parts from the 6.9 therefore visually it appears as a 6.9. Does anyone recognize the reman decal?

Do yourself a favor and check the two oil galley plugs behind the cam gear to make sure that they're still held in place well. Now's the time to catch it if they aren't.
Anyone familiar with this reman decal, recognize who the re-builder might be? Any idea what "Remanufactured Code 1" means? Each head also has a metal tag attached with a number. Also think this might be a sleeved engine. It sure looks like each cylinder has a sleeve, however gotta admit the overbore doesn't make sense if it's sleeved. Aren't sleeves used primarily to retain the original bore size?

Maybe this was sold as a "Ford" reman engine?

I do not recognize that tag.
Caterpillar Reman does all of the V8 Diesels designed by International/Navistar for both Ford and Navistar applications. Their serial numbers are 6 digits, but I have never seen one higher than 5XXXXX.
AER is the Ford OE reman supplier for the vast majority of Ford's gas engines and the 6.7 Diesel. It may be an AER tag, but they typically have the Ford logo stamped in them.
I have never seen a Jasper label without the "Jasper" name on it. Same with SRC, and as far as I know, SRC has never remanufactured the IDI's. (I can't find any work instructions in the archive for an IH IDI, anyways.)
Reviva does a wide variety of diesel engines, and it may be one of their engines, although their tags are typically maroon.
And it may have been done by some defunct company that is no longer in business.
