Overheating

Did you use a thermometer to actually check the opening temp?
Just because it opens doesn't mean it's good.

Yep, opened up around 190, i have a new one that i had bought last year thats going in but I yanked the AC condenser out anyways to clear a path to the radiator

Do you see bubbles in the radiator when its running with the cap off?
Also if the rad cap is shot the coolant will boil at a much lower temp

Not sure, havent started it since it happened and it started pouring while I was working on it.
