oh crap! i think my tranny is heading down hill

my OD light started flashing today, so i checked the tranny levle cus i kno that light is or can be a slip indicater, but my fluid level was fine, i even added a little fluid, is there anything els i need to check for, or restart the system or something?

Check your FILP/TPS or whatever it is call.If it is out of adjustment it will cause the idiot light to flash.Also,Before you go buying parts,Check,Clean,and Grease(Dielectric) all connections to the tranny.For the idiot light to come on the computer must read the same fault 3 consecutive times before it goes into HOLY CRAP mode.

well now the light stoped working, and when in out of OD it still doesnt light up, like the bulb is out or something

Check the bulb. A bad tack/RPM sensor will also make the light blink.

well i pulled all the tranny plugs and sprayed them with electrical cleaner, and now the light is blinking again, but its a slow blink with the engine shut off wuts number of blinks means what?

well all is well turns out its just the TPS
