Just kidding the truck is mint ;Sweet

Had you there for a moment didn't I? :rotflmao

So awhile back I started a thread gathering info about my idea to run Nitrous Oxide on my N/A 7.3 by picking members brains about afrs and such and I've been running nitrous for about a month now and I can't explain how pleased I am with the results. Although I haven't gone to a dyno or track (yet) to see what increases I am really getting, the performance is really noticeable. When pulling up a hill with a big load that I know my truck will struggle on I can just downshift, give it a lot of throttle and push my mommentary button and a lot of smoke goes away and my egts stop decreasing and the truck ROCKETS up anything.

I'm running a 150 shot right now and I need to get a bigger jet kit and maybe go to the track or a dyno day and fine tune the system but so far I am really pleased!:D

Also illegal to remove any of the exhaust.

Now I'm confused???

I thought using Nitro was a no no and propane sniffing was the way to go?

I realize that, but nitrous provides extra oxygen and thus more fuel is needed to maintain the proper air-fuel mix ratio, right?

I didn't think a stock IP would be able to keep up with the demand...

Or am I missing something here?

That is, other than the fact that the op has been having fun for awhile and it still runs...

If I decide to make mine gassy, I think propane is the way to go, just because it's still cheaper than nitrous...

This is true for a gasser. But on a diesel, if you can roll coal, you can add NOS to burn up that unburned fuel, and create big power. Thats the pro, the cons are, you have to drive by the pyro religiously or pistons will melt, and its a slippery slope, once you go down this road its very easy to add enough power start breaking stuff. IMHO 10 to 15 hp per slug is totally manageable.

Propane has nearly the same characteristics as gas. Burns at about the same temp and as a liquid it's nearly as viscous. Runs cleaner and is a bit more efficient as I've understood it.

Ok.....lets.look logically

propane is FUEL

N2O is OXYGEN

If smokinaka rolli coal.lack O2.....If no coal...propane burns quicler anf may add hp...

This is abput as simplified as I can male.it...maybe someone knowing more n I can + there $ 0.02

hell, it's illegal to make any engine or emissions modifications that change it from factory spec in all actuality as far as the feds are concerned..........
engine swap = illegal
fuel tuning = illegal
exhaust upgrade = illegal
4bbl swap = illegal

AFAIK, I have never owned a car that remained legal under these circumstances LOL
