i just bought a 92 cummins, i turned up the pump and now i see the pyro get hot preaty fast. what things can i do to get my egts down. i run a preaty open exuast 3 inch. what else will bring the egts down?

thank guys i have tryed looking around for a air intake kit but can not find one who makes one? what kinda of turbo housing ?

oh air intake is easy... BHAF - you can get one from napa for like 70 clams... just toss away the air box and fit the end of the air filter on the hose and enjoy. If you search the forums here you can find the part numbers I believe it's in the 2nd gen engine forum.

If you want a simple drop in already made intake, go to Piers, they call it the "ASA intake" very nice piece. But you can build a nice BHAF for lots less. 2 4" 45* rubber elbows some pipe and a few clamps and the filter.

4" Downpipe from www.sourceautomotive.biz (Rip Rook) or from www.Stansheaders.com will help drop EGT's from 100-200 degrees.

And on the turbo, depending on your application, auto's a 16CM exhaust housing is about ideal, and for 5 speeds a 12cm or 14cm wastegated housing is ideal.
