Hey Guys
Need some advice on new smoke coming from truck,When going down hill in town with very light pedal ( no smoke) upon accelerating I get a Large cloud of white/blueish smoke that lasts for several seconds. I would assume that truck is loading up ,but could this be rings or guides, pump , timing etc.

Your truck.............errrrr..........:D Timing is retarded.

That's where I'd start looking if your temps and such are OK.

what the best way to time one of these engines (as there isnt anyone local that can do it) an online tool retailer that sells required equipment and a ball park on cost?

Can you give some more details on this? I need to get my truck timed but all the shops I called dont have a clue.

Here's the factory web page, you can download the manual there, it can expalin it better than I can : http://www.ferretinstruments.com/Ferret/765/765.html

Basically, with the ferret and a regular advance type timing light, you can time the thing just like a gasser.
