New IP installed, TPS question.

Ok so I just installed my IP pump this week, and I haven't installed the TPS sensor yet but was wondering if I could install it without checking the voltage meter and drive it around or should it not be driven at all untill a voltage meter tests it's voltage?

Test it first or voltages are critical for shift points you can really run your transmission quick
