I need a good headliner too, mine was perfect the day i got the truck since then its just started falling down:puke:

Headliners are not that bad to fix. I have done about a dozen over the years. What happens is the heat breaks down the foam backing. To fix it first find a fabric store that has the headliner material. Then take out your head liner and take the old material off of the cardboard backer and take off as much of the old foam as you can. Then spray with 3M fabric glue and put on the new fabric from the middle to the edges.

Nice job David.
I do have to say though, the pre 87 dash is my favorite. The later dash boards just always looked too generic for my taste.

i did the headliner myself. Joanne fabrics sold the headliner material. wasnt bad to do, once you remove the cloth take a stiff plastic brush and brush all the foam backing off the cardboard and start fresh.

David. what color is your truck? Why didnt you dye the dash BEFORE you put it in?

Truck is grey,

I didnt die it because i just spent 500 dollars not long ago on some winter prep on the truck and was whiped out so i figured i would get to it later, i still cant make my mind up as to what color i want the interior, the girlfriend wants black,

I wish i had the 89 style doorpanels, cause i love them i dont care alot for the OBS door panels, i just used them cause they were better than the origanal 86,

I have some door panels from the 89 that i robbed the dash from but they are for power windows and locks and my lariat has manual windows and lockscookoo

Someone has swapped the doors on you, or the fenders with the badges - XLT Lariat is the fully loaded power-everything model.
