Hey Guys,
I replaced my IP and injectors and got everything back together the way I think it should be but I just can't seem to get any fuel bubbling at the injector connections.

There's fuel coming from the return line back to the pump. I can get fuel at the schrader bleed fitting at the water filter. I've tried loosening 4 injectors on each side, and one at a time.

Engine spins quickly. Batteries are weak but I have a good starter, another truck and HD jumper cables, block heater is plugged in, (it's about -20C).

I mixed a 1.9L jug of Stanadyne additive with 20L of diesel and put in one tank.

Is there a way to purge the air and prime the system?

Could i have a clogged water filter?

Any thoughts or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Kelly

It should fire. I've replaced many a pump and injectors and half the time, I don't loosen anything up, just start it.
Did you check to see if the FSS is clicking?

With key on and remove the contact on top of IP and the solenoid clicks.

The IP is a reman unit that was sitting for sometime (years), but still in the bag, so it should be good. The injectors are matched to the IP.

I've heard of new pumps sitting for years and getting gummed up.
If you're getting fuel out of the schrader and the FSS has power, it will start unless the pump is bad

Thanks. Is there a way I can confirm the IP is pumping?

Crack a line loose at an injector and crank from under the hood so you can see it. Within a short period, you should have fuel coming out.

It really shouldn't take long if all is well.
I had a pump once that was so screwed up internally, it wouldn't start with the timing marks anywhere near lined up. I had to crank it way advanced just to get it to be in a normal running range.

If you find that you need another pump, summit sells a very nice rebuild at a great price. I'm running one on my truck and it's the best running truck I've had yet

Try filling a new fuel filter with atf, fuel filter needs to be replaced when you change Ip or injectors.

Summit Racing? Wouldn't have thought of them for diesel parts.

They have quite a few diesel parts. The pumps they sell are Delphi rebuilds. Great price, cheap core charge and they are packaged very well and shipped quick
