i need a computer for my E4Od tranny. 4x4 turbo. anyone got one? junkyards have absolutely nothing! ford dealer cant get them anymore. im willing to pay for it. need it quick. just PM!

F4TF-12A650-EA OR F4TF-12B565-EA there are only five junkyards in the country that show they have one! Hopefully someone here has one sitting in a junk truck even though i know that the chances are slim.

You could check with NAPA. I know they did reman them and it should not be too big a deal to get one. I just tried looking it up online for you but their listings are all F5TF not F4TF. If you have a store local, call them up and have em cross the number from yours. Hell, try any auto parts store in your area.

i would think so but i put one in from a two wheel drive and couldn't tell if it was any good or not since it had 50,000 more miles on it than mine.

i'd be willing to at least try it...

hmm, I think it would be a good idea for you to take your truck to a shop. Computers don't fail alot if you've already tested another puter and the truck acted the same.... then you may have another issue. Also, there's a special test that pertains to fords called the wiggle test. Wiggle your wire connections a bit and see if that makes any difference. For connectors try spraying brake cleaner then a little white grease in them.

Ben, get a baumann controler, thats what I'm going to do when I get the cash together. I've already upgraded eveything else in the trans, I should have bought it when I did the first trans 4 years ago.
