Muffler question. Dt466

I picked up a muffler from ACME in Stockton from my bus. It's 5 in and 5 out. It's close to new. I also picked up adapters. On my bus, the pipe from the turbo is 3.5" I think into 4" into muffler. Someone told me the I shouldn't go to a 5". I would loose power. This is behind a P-Pump DT466. Stock now but bigger injectors in the future. The reason I want to change is the 42 holes in my muffler and pipe. What say you?

You will not lose power, if any, you will gain. If you can, you should up your pipe diameter from the turbo out the back. The DT466 is a big motor and the stock exhaust choked it. If you have any inclination to up the power, you should find a decent exhaust shop to make for you a 5" turbo back exhaust. You won't regret it... but the Prius behind you at the light might!
