Today I rotated the VRV to and fro from front to back. At the furthest setting rotating forward the 1-2 shift was smoother but still at 35mph and 2-3 still 45 mph.

I pulled the upper cap but do not see the nut folks on here have referred to for further adjustment...is it on the drivers side if you remove the side cap...Banks air filter assembly is kinda in the way.

I don't remember. How's your vacuum? Low vacuum may make it shift late likes it's doing. Otherwise, have you tried adjusting the vacuum modulator?

Went a got a HF gauge and 16hg at idle but only 19hg while driving...so probably not quite enough.

Installed new vac pump and gauge reads a little better but still not over 20hg. Have adjusted modulator about 3 turns ccw but shifts remain the same. They are consistent just not the best in slower traffic.
