About 7000 miles after replacing the IP and all the injectors I'm starting to notice problems again :l the 3rd cylinder back on the driver side seems to be misfiring and there's a "thunk"ing noise coming out the exhaust. It's the only cylinder that's misfiring, what should I try? Also, the 4th cylinder on the rear of the passenger side is moist in diesel  all the parts were brand new so what's going on here? Should I take out the injector and carefully coat the threads with blue lock-tite? PITA. The truck also developed a speed wobble recently (ball joints?) and having no funds to get it fixed i've just been letting it sit. When I went to start it the other day it took nearly 30 seconds for the oil to pressurize. Normally it's within 5 seconds, should I be worried about engine damage or does it just need to be run more?

try cracking the injector on the cylinders that you think are miss firing and listen for any changes in the motor. also did you do a return line kit?

So your post tells us these were new parts. Please tell us where these injecters and pump were bought from. If you paid less than around $350.00 for the injecters you possibily got a set of "cleaned" rebuilt injecters. Did you time the engine after installing the pump and injecters. If not thats a issue needing attention. A well timed engine runs better plus you have more mpg too. As for the cylinder misfireing. Try changing that injecter with another cylinder. See if the misfire follows the injecter. If it does you need another injecter. What type of injecters were these. Delphi b codes or ???

They were about $50/piece purchased from Napa. It is timed and it's just the one cylinder that's being a PITA. as for the leaking injector on the passenger side, will some blue lock tite be a good or bad thing? It's leaking where the injector threads into the head, not at the fitting. They were all torqued down to 35 ft-lbs.

The cheapo injectors at Napa are $34 where I'm at. Sounds like he didn't get the cheapos.

Are you sure it isn't leaking fuel onto the injector threads? I'd imagine a leaking bottom o-ring on the injector would leak there.

No amount of thread sealant on the injecter to head threads will seal the leak you feel you have. Try tightening the injecter with an open end wrench or large cresent. But loosen the hard line nut first to tht injecter. Hopefully you don't have a cut copper gasket or seat in the head. Torquesing to 45 or 55 lbs is not going to hurt whats already hurting and may stop the leak too. The place and price you paid for this set of injecters was too much. Mel or Russ have them slightly cheaper but of a better quality. Did you get BB codes or do you know what they are. Who made them. The code is stamped into a lug on the injecter wrench hex.
