Hi, I was wondering what kind of boost numbers are safe on a 6.9 with stock head bolts verses ARP head studs. I would also like to know which brand of head gaskets are best? Which turbo setup makes the best boost and what figures can be expected with the pump turned up without harming the engine? Also what power numbers are some of you pushing? I am also in the process of tweaking the NA engine that is in the truck now and I was wondering how much to advance the pump, I will be using a pulse adapter so I can adjust it more accurately than just turning the pump.
Any info would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks,
Alex

If you do a search we just had a topic about this. Anything past 12psi of boost with a stock turbo, from a ATS, Banks, or Hypermax turbo, all you will be doing is super-heating the air and you wont get any performance gains as the compressed air will be to hot (300*F+). So you can boost up that high, but if you want to go higher you will need an intercooler, or some sort of different turbo.

Probably can just look through the first 4 pages of the forum and find answers to every question asked. This topic has been covered LOTS lately.
