manual GP switch

I have seen this before but did not know how far back to go so I am just going to ask again.
Where is the GP relay and how hard is it to change?
Also, How would I install a manual GP switch so I can control when the plugs come on and off and where should I put it? If you use a manual switch, how long do you leave it on for? The main reason I have for putting a manual switch on is in case I need to use either, I heard glow plugs do not mix well. Is there any other way to disable to GP if I have to use either?
