my boats tied up in the shipyard, Houma La, sent the crew off.... but I'm the engineer, so gotta keep me here :)
nothing to do but help the guys at the shipyard, and play with the big engines.

the RS weeks has a v20 Mak.... 10,000hp so I'll assume thats a 6000hp in the pic, I dunno. Still little compared to some I've seen. MAN makes the biggest damn thing, two guys would go into the crankcase, break loose the connecting rod cap, hit it with a sledge and it'd fall into the pan. The crank would push the piston up to tdc. than and only than would they shut down the engine :)

my company, all the machinery has the same color codings for piping:
light grey = grey water
super blue = cooling water
light blue = potable water
safety orange = lube oil
safety orange with black stripe = waste oil
black = human waste
yellow = diesel
green = sea water/bilge water (with no oil)

makes life REALLY easy for me since if I get transfered I can ID any piping in no time.

thinking about it now....
that blue is weird, super blue is in the back, that light blue might be for aftercooling.
I dunno, I'll talk to the chief of the venture.

Hey what class vessel that is used for hevey tug or supply / tug vessel ?

I ran into generator verison of that engine one ran at 415 rpm and other verison ran at 600 RPM { that one it was ******* turbochargers don't ask me how the turbo do make weird burp when ya take the load off the the engine :shocked: }
