ok i'm sure some of you love your IH IDI powered fords as much as i love my IH gasser powered IH trucks. maybe you had a old car you own done, just trying to keep the IDI in point to keep it in this fourm to get some more feedback. Has anyone had any experience with any form of acid dipping or e coating to help preserve your stuff? hopefully close to the northeastern region so i don't have to drive thousands of miles... i want to get my travelette dipped but heard some horror stories. thanks for any advice! ;Sweet

My old boss at the body shop is restoring a 69 R/T drag pack 440 4spd Challenger. He want to get rid of all the rust and coat the spots you can never get to. He dropped the car shell off weighing in at about 1000lbs. He picked it up weighing about 500lbs!! There was no rust Left;Sweet but not much car left either.

Last I heard the acid dip place in A-town closed(Kwik-strip), but the e-coater(electro prime) is still open

Only place I ever used was Youngs Galvanizing in Pulaski PA. I'm not sure they do acid etching though. I always prepped my stuff myself before I brought it to them. Here is their address and Phone number 8281 Mercer Street Pulaski, PA 16143 (724) 658-1666. They did two of my Jeep tubs and both still look good 10 years later living in Ohio salt.
