Came across a wrecked 91 f250 so I had to liberate as much as I could.
Get the complete 7.3, ZF, complete dual exhaust (almost new), PW motors, tank switchover etc. etc.
Don't think I will go through the trouble of changing to a manual trans
Also the dreaded dual mass seems worn out although the disc and PP look fairly fresh.
Nice to have a spare oil cooler to rebuild etc.
No evidence of coolant in oil or cylinders and engine turns very freely.

I am thinking that I will fill and pressurize the cooling system to check for block worm.
Anyone know how to tell if the block has serious cavitation damage even if it hasn't failed yet?
Had about 200,000 miles on the odometer.

Would be interested in trading the ZF for an early banks y pipe and up pipe although not sure how shipping would work.

Truck starts and runs great since installing the electric fuel pump.

Have made a couple of 400 mile runs on the truck with about 1000 lbs in box and seem to be getting about 14 mpg (US) at 65mph.
That sound about right?

I would not like this truck anywhere near as much as I do if it were not for this site. So thanks to all for the invaluable information.
