Official GMM hand model
Welcome to the site. We mostly take very fine care of our trucks. They can be repaired on the side of the road very easily too. Can't say that for the newer trucks of any make. I'll bet you need a set of injectors, glow plugs and an injector pump. Don't just run out a do this yet. You need to answer many more questions before throwing money and parts at it. Your location is important because someone may live near you and can "see" better whats going on so fill in your profile. It wont cost anything either. Then someone may be close by and can look things over. These are really easy motors to maintain too. Parts are not costly like any newer truck motor is. Your problem may be something really simple to fix. Maybe not. We just need more imput so post back with more asked information. Did the previous owner say if the injectors, injection upmp or the glow plugs were ever replaced? You may be able to tell just by looking at the return lines and the injectors. If they are painted gray just like the motor they may very well be the original ones and need to be changed....
