We've got a 1010 diesel Crawler here on the farm that is as handy as a pocket on a shirt, but it eats the John Deere GPs like candy almost. In the past year we've put 2 sets of JD GPs in it only to have them fail within 4 months. We've been doing without for a while and just using ether to get it satrted, and weren't too worried about it because it's not used that much in the winter. Now that spring's here, we're needing to use the crawler more and more to get land cleared for the new homeplace. Every time we go to start it dad and I both cringe when we have to reach for the ether can.
My question to you guys: Is there someplace other than JD where we can get these, or are they the only ones that make them? I was hoping one of you out there might have a cross reference of some sort and could maybe cross check it for us.
The John Deere part numbers are:
AT11044-early style
AT23537-late style
We're not sure whether this crawler's an early model or a late model because the Serial Number tag was long gone by the time we got it.
