Is this normal?

Short and sweet my WTS lights only stays on for three seconds then goes off, then i hear clicking for 15-20 seconds is this normal?

Mine did that when had 4 bad plugs. have 8 good beru's in now and the WTS light is on for ~10-15 sec all the time now.

i bet you have either some burnt out plugs or bad connections. the system in your truck works off the resistance of the glow plugs. when one goes out it messes up the resistance value of the overall system and short cycles the plugs. my WTS light stays on close to 10 seconds even in the summertime now that i have a good set of plugs in it.

I got mine form rockuto.com. only buy motorcraft/beru. they were $9/plug.

I've heard they are a pain in the rear to change

Ya the two under the turbo on passenger side are a pita, but take your time, cuss at them enough and they will come out. the one directly under the turbo took me as long to get out and back in as it did to get the other 7 out and in. you are looking at about 30-40 for the one under the turbo.

Do all the wires just run to a harness connected to the controller?

extensions and wobblys are your friends for under the turbo, its not to bad then. the others are like changing out a little spark plug and not a big deal. if you dont have a turbo its cake.

if you get one that is stuck come back here for instructions on how to deal with it. you do not want it to break it off in your head the wrong way. not real commen to have happen but it can.
