I have a 1991 F 250 XLT with intermittent wipers Wipers work on high no low or intermittent speeds washers spray but in low speed wipers will stop in windshield and will only park if you go to high position then to off.

Pop off the cap on the stalk, unscrew the screw. CAREFULLY pull out the button and guts.
clean up the contacts and lube them (nolox works well) .

'91 has the wiper control below the instrument panel. Same trouble. there is an independent module under the dash behind the light switch mount that likely is at fault. Have yet to place it high up on the priority list. Let me know how you make out, please.

If that comes apart like that on a 1992 you may have helped me fix my wipers. I'm going to check mine tomorrow. Thanks

my '94 idi was about the same. I got lazy and flopped in a new switch.
