Earlier this week, I drove my truck for the first time in a few days. I started it and warmed it up for about 30 minutes as it was completely encapsulated in ice. I know the fan motor was working as it defrosted the windshield and windows completely.

The next night I had to run out to the grocery store, and I wanted to move the truck. No fan. No low, no medium, no high speed. After coming out of the grocery store, I tried it again (it was pretty cold out) and it worked fine. I am guessing it's a bad connection on the harness or maybe the motor itself, just looking for a place to start looking for a bad connection.

Check the fan speed switch. Look for loose connections or corroded connections (not very likely inside the cab).

Also may replace the blower motor resistors. Common for them to burn out.

I know the resistors are prone to failing, was thinking that I would lose the lower speeds if that happened. I think I have to wait until it doesn't work again to troubleshoot it, which will most likely be the coldest day of the year :(

I am having the same challenges...thanks for posting this here and to DaveBen and 79jasper for the tips...it looks like something is loose because it happens intermittently and I have not had the chance to troubleshoot yet. Am hoping it is an easy fix :)
