my first impression of the car is "hearse". if she's into the macabre...perfect!
be sure the climate control and the vac lock/unlock system works and the car is worth the $$$$. seats can be reupholstered. non-working creature comforts on a MBZ will eat you alive financially.

Truer words have not been spoken! These are great cars, but if you want all of the creature comforts working and they're not, it can get expensive real quick.

One important note...the rear suspension on a wagon is not the same as on a sedan. The wagons have a hydraulic self-leveling setup...and while I haven't dealt with a wagon before, IIRC the hydraulic actuators are there instead of the rear shock absorbers...which means that, given that the ad says one "shock" needs to be replaced, that could be a problem. Rear suspension parts especially on these wagons can get hideously expensive QUICK!

Also, FYI, the "third row" rear-facing seat is actually not a common option...there are wagon owners who don't have the third row who will kill for the parts to add it :D

It's good that the guy's being upfront about the issues, but I would be wary...
